Ring modeled in wax and cast in steel. Its form and engravings were inspired by the floral paintings of the Gothic rib vault in the Abbey of Saint John (Müstair, Canton of Graubünden, Switzerland). The inside of the ring hoop is lined with fine gold. Seated on the ring is a Romanesque fire-gilded silver clasp (ca. 1200) that shows a pair of dogs with their slain prey.
